Assam Educational institutions to reopen
on Novemver 02, 2020.

Educational Institutions in Assam are ready to reopen from November 02, 2020 with the guidelines and protocols issued by the education department of Assam Government. The Chief Minister, Sarbanda Sonowal has directed education department and schools to follow guidelines strictly.

According to the officials of the state Education Department, classrooms would start for the students of class 6 and above.

The officials further said, the teachings for the students of Class VI, VIII, X and XII would be done on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Class VII, IX, and XII students would engage the classrooms.

Students would be attending classes in two different batches in morning and afternoon shift. The institutions would do the classification of the students as per the morning 8am to 12noon and 12:30pm to 3:30pm afternoon batch.

However, students who prefer to continue with the online mode of education can attend online classes, which will be continued further.

Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) of all Teachers and other professionals in the institutions have to be done before opening of the schools and further testing to be carried out at 30 day intervals.

An everyday temperature check and monitoring shall be done in the institutions; also the strict procedure of sanitization has to be followed every weekend

However, the hostel facilities in the school and colleges shall be remained suspended until further notice.
