Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati have made it to the top 100 Institutes of the world by QS World University Subject Rankings 2021.

IIT-Guwahati secured the 51st position for the subject petroleum and engineering.

This year, a total of 12 Indian Institutions have made it to the top 100 of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.

Top three positions were held by IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras, followed by the other institutions –  IIT Delhi, IISC Bangalore, IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Anna University, University of Delhi, and O P Jindal University.

The QS World University Rankings by subject are assessed on the basis of academic reputation, research impact, productivity of an institution’s research faculty and employer reputation.
