Chief Minister Manipur, N Biren Singh, on Thursday inaugurated a one day panel discussion on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The panel discussion was organised by the Department of Education at City Convention Centre in Imphal.

The Minister while addressing the occasion, said the education is the backbone of a society and no progress and development could be achieved without education. He further said National Education Policy NEP 2020  is a country centric education policy, which will help to enhance the quality of our education system.  

Education Minister, Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh, while his address said, the NEP 2020 had been introduced under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a better country with qualified youths.

He further added,  Teaching is a profession which plays a big role in shaping the future of a country and urged all the teachers to  take their responsibilities with full commitment.
