Due to the cancellation of class 10th board examinations, decided by CBSE keeping in view the devastating situation due to COVID-19, the students will now be assessed based on the marks uploaded by the respective schools. The assessment will be done on the basis of the internal assessment criteria announced by the Board recently.
Schools will have to submit the marks on the link (live now on e-Pariksha 2021 portal) https://cbseit.in/cbse/web/regn/login.aspx
The schools will need to finalise the results by May 25, and the marks will have to be submitted to CBSE by June 5, 2021. The results are likely to be declared by the third week of June.
The assessment will be done as per the breakup of marks :
20 marks based on the internal assessments.
10 marks as per periodic/unit tests.
30 marks for half yearly / mid-term exams.
40 marks for pre-board exams.
CBSE has also prescribed an internal moderation system that is based on the historical performance of the school. It will take the best performance in the last three years’ board examinations as the ‘reference year’. As per the board’s policy, the subject wise marks evaluated by the school for 2021 must be within a range of 2 marks obtained by the school in the reference year.
