In consideration of the pandemic due to COVID-19, lockdown in states and safety of teachers and other staff members of the affiliated schools, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to extend dates for the formulation of marks for class 10th board exam 2021. According to the updated schedule, result committees from schools can submit marks to CBSE till June 30.
This year, class 10th students will be marked out of 100 for each subject out of which internal assessment carries 20 marks while 80 marks will be for various exams conducted throughout the year.
The board has instructed schools to set up result committees comprising of principal and seven teachers for finalising the class 10th results.
CBSE had cancelled the board exams for the class 10th students while exams for class 12th students were postponed with a final decision expected in the first week of June 2021 following a review of the situation.
Following CBSE’s announcement of the assessment criteria for Class 10th students, lakhs of class 12th students has been demanding for cancellation of class 12th board exams.
