National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim Invites Applications for Temporary Faculty Positions.
NIT Sikkim has released a notification inviting applications from the eligible candidates for temporary faculty positions in different disciplines.
Temporary Faculty Positions available for :
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Eligibility :
Minimum essential qualification
First class or equivalent in B. Tech. and M. Tech. (preference will be given to Ph.D. or Ph.D. submitted candidates). Institute reserves the right to fix additional or higher criteria for short-listing.
Empanelment as temporary faculty will be initially for a period of one semester or eleven (11) months,
All the shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the presentation and interview. The candidates shortlisted for the interview are required to bring their original certificate and other necessary documents at the time of interview
The Institute is operating from a temporary campus at Ravangla, situated at an altitude of 2100 meters. The terrain is hilly and the weather remains cold and wet throughout the year. Moreover, there is very limited infrastructure within the present campus. Accommodation may not be provided to the selected candidates, reads the notification.
