Assam Govt. Orders Reopening of All Physical Classes in Educational Institutions.

Assam Government issues new SOP today, for re-opening of physical classes in all Institutes, Universities, Colleges and Schools for class IX from October 1, and for class I to VIII and class XI from October 19,2021 in both government and private educational Institutions.

However,  physical attendance in schools is optional and not mandatory and the students who prefer the online mode of education can attend the online classes which will be continued.

Classes will be held three days a week , every alternate day for classes I to III ie. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and for classes IV and V it will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

“Considering the fact that the Covid-19 positivity rate in the State of Assam is less than 1% during the last 15 days” and “considering the improved scenario, the re-opening of the physical classes have been ordered, but “maintaining all the protocols of safety guidelines under COVID-19 protocol.” Meetings in schools, both formal and informal, will remain banned in the education institutions, “There will also be no cultural function, meetings until further orders,” the government SOP stated.
