The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation exam 2022 scheduled for  June 24 and 26 at Silchar centre in Assam due to floods.

 “Due to ongoing floods at Silchar City, it has been decided by the competent authority to postpone Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination, Paper – 1 [Principles and Practice of Accounting] and Paper – 2 [Business Laws & Business Correspondence and Reporting] scheduled to be held on 24th and 26th June 2022 respectively in Silchar (Assam) Examination Centre only.” ICAI’s notification reads,

The new dates for the postponed exams at the Silchar exam centre will be announced soon by ICAI.

As the flood situation in Silchar is alarming with most areas still under water, the reschedule of examinations was decided. The Institute informed that the schedule of CA Foundation exam being conducted at  all other centres / cities will remain unchanged.

ICAI is conducting CA Foundation exams from June 24 to June 30, 2022 in offline mode at exam centres across the country.
