Students to get Scooty based on cut off marks.
Students who secured first division in the Assam Higher Secondary examination will also get scooty, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said on Monday.
According to Pegu, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier said that students who achieve first division will be given scooty. He added that the scooty will be awarded based on the cut-off marks, keeping in mind the budget.
He further added that the scooties were given to students last year based on a set cutoff score, and it would be given this year as well under the same conditions. The chief minister will decide how to continue the Anundoram Barooah reward for first-place achievers.
