NLU Tripura withdraws from CLAT 2023 admission process.

NLU Tripura, the newly established law college included in the list of NLUs in India this year only, will not be participating in CLAT 2023 counselling. With the withdrawal of NLU Tripura, there are now 23 NLUs that will accept the scores of the recently conducted CLAT 2023.

Official Notification from Consortium – Direct Link

CLAT Consortium informed all the candidates via official notification which reads,  “The National Law University,(NLU), Tripura has informed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) that it shall not participate in the Admissions Counselling Process for Academic Year 2023-24.“

“All candidates participating in the Admissions Counselling Process for the Common Law Admission Test, 2023 are hereby informed that NLU, Tripura shall be removed from the preferences indicated by candidates,” it said.

NLU Tripura is the 25th national law university (NLU) established in October 2022. Earlier, the university was expected to start the academic session this year.

However, the candidates who have selected/opted the law college as one of their preferences will have to correct their preferences form once again.
