Royal Global University organized a student symposium as a part of celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava’

Royal Global University, Department of History on March 16th 2021, organized a student symposium as a part of celebration of the 75th year of India’s Independence ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava’

‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava’ is an initiative undertaken by the Government of India, flagged by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched on March 12th 2021, which will be continued till August 15th, 2022. The Mahotsav is a series of events to be organised by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Students from Gauhati University, Cotton College, Pandu College and Royal Global University participated in the student symposium.

Prof. (Dr.) S.P.Singh, Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University,   Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain, Chairperson – Academic, RGU, and Dr. Shiela Bora, Advisor-Department of History, RGU were present in the event.

Hileemona Baishya, MA First Semester, Department of History, Royal Global University secured the first position , Prashant kr. Ojah, a student of History Department, Gauhati University secured the second position, while the third and fourth positions were taken by Anchala Duarah, Department of History, Cotton University and Mayukh Bhattacharya, Department of economics, RGU respectively.

Dr. Swabera Islam, Dept. of Economics and Dr. Vaishalee Rajkhowa,  Dept. of English, RGU were the judges of the Student Symposium.
